Summer Sports Camps 2019

Drop-off Time: 8:30am – 9am

Instruction Time: 9am – 12pm

Pick-up Time: 12pm

The YMCA of Georgia's Piedmont - Brad Akins Branch is proud to offer a full calendar of Summer Sports Camps in 2019. Camps are offered to children ages 6-13. We encourage all skill levels to attend our camps, as we cover the fundamentals of each sport while also incorporating challenging drills and games. In our Sports Camps, we teach sportmanship and teamwork in addition to the skills of each individual sport because here, we believe every child can become a well-rounded athlete and person. We hope your child joins us this Summer to try a new sport, or to improve in one they already play!

May 28-May 31 (Ages 6-13): Mini Camp-Sports & Agility

Stronger. Faster. Better. Start the summer off with speed and agility workouts that can be applied to all sports and competitions.

June 3-7 (Ages 6-13): Tennis

Cover the basics of positioning, holding a racket, serving and keeping score in tennis camp.

June 3-7 (Ages 6-13): Keeper Training

Dive, block and punt in our soccer keeper training camp.

June 10-14 (Ages 6-13): Flag Football

All the fun of football without the contact. Run plays and pull flags while learning functional agility in this great American sport.

June 10-14 (Ages 6-13): Volleyball

Set, spike and dig our indoor/outdoor volleyball camp.

June 17-21 (Ages 6-13): Soccer

Learn fundamental skills such as dribbling, passing, throw-ins and shooting. Be a part of a team during small sided games and drills.

June 24-28 (Ages 6-13): Cheer & Tumbling

Increase coordination and flexibility in our tumbling camp while learning cartwheels, round-offs and more!

June 24-28 (Ages 6-13): Baseball

Throw, catch and hit in our all-skill-levels-welcome baseball camp.

July 8-12 (Ages 6-9): Basketball

Learn basic fundamentals of dribbling, defending, shooting and passing. Practice being a part of a team while improving individual skills.

July 15-19 (Ages 10-13): Basketball

Hone your fundamental skills of dribbling, defending, shooting and passing. Practice being a part of a team while improving individual skills.

July 22-26 (Ages 6-13): Karate

Practice fundamental Jujitsu form and discipline in this camp that focuses on self-defense, grappling and ground fighting.

July 22-26 (Ages 6-13): Soccer

Improve individual and team skills while participating in new drills and games. Skills covered in this camp build off of June’s soccer camp!
