At the Y, we love supporting healthy kids.
Price: Free Event for the community
Healthy Kids Day is the YMCA’s national initiative to improve the health and well being of kids and families. For more than 30 years, YMCAs across the country have hosted free community events that inspire children to stay active in spirit, mind, and body throughout the summer months and beyond. In 2026, Healthy Kids Day is set for April 18, and the event continues to serve as a national call for families to make health, play, and connection a priority.
At the Bell Family YMCA, Healthy Kids Day reflects the heart of the Y’s mission in Hartwell and the surrounding community. The Bell Family YMCA serves as more than a fitness facility. It is a community hub where families gather for programs, events, and support that strengthen youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This branch specifically highlights community-centered events like Healthy Kids Day as part of its work to foster connections among families and neighbors.
Healthy Kids Day gives families a fun and meaningful way to connect with those opportunities close to home. It is designed to encourage active play, family engagement, and continued involvement in YMCA programs that support children beyond a single event. As families begin thinking about summer, Healthy Kids Day is a timely opportunity to discover how the Bell Family YMCA helps children stay engaged, healthy, and connected. The Bell Family YMCA’s 2026 summer day camp program, for example, is already positioned as a place for fun, growth, friendship, and adventure in a safe, Christian environment.
Families interested in Healthy Kids Day are encouraged to ask about it at the front desk at the Bell Family YMCA, located at 281 Opal Street Extension, Hartwell, GA 30643
