Program offers engaging, hands-on experiences that blend science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Designed for both youth and adults, these programs aim to inspire curiosity, foster creativity, and build essential skills for the future.
Lights, Camera, Learn! Dive into the world of filmmaking with our introductory class tailored for aspiring storytellers.
Ages: Youth (8-17) and Adults (18+)
*Classes teach same curriculum
**Youth may accompany adult class with guardian
Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays in June (last class June 26th)
Times: YOUTH 6:00pm-7:00pm ADULT 7:15pm-8:15pm
Location: Brad Akins YMCA – Program Room
Cost: $50 Members $70 non-members (Financial assistance available.)
Class Highlights:
Cinematography Basics: Learn composition and lighting techniques.
Camera Techniques: Explore professional cinema cameras!
Production Roles: Understand various crew positions and on-set protocols.
Participants will have the opportunity to work with professional-grade equipment, including Blackmagic cameras and gimbals. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!
