Brad Akins After School

Our afterschool program is offered to many Barrow County School attendees. Leave your child in a quality Chrisitan based program that is safe, convenient, and active. We have responsible, energetic staff members, who are dedicated to helping your child develop the YMCA's five key character traits of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith.

With a focus on safety, health, social growth and academic enhancement, the Y Afterschool Program serves students in grades K-5 with a variety of programmatic and activity options to explore and develop their interests and talents. Each day children are given the opportunity to partake in a variety of physical activities including sports, team building, swimming, outside play, STEAM activities and more! Children are offered a healthy meal as they arrive. Once meal time is finished, the children then are able to choose from a number of activities available each day.

Online registration is required for all participants (excluding CAPS). CAPS participants must register at the front desk. If CAPS participants register online, you will be charged the registration fee, and will not be reimbursed by the YMCA. Anyone who does not have active CAPS certificates will be registered under the regular rate.

Members: $65/week
Non-Members: $85/week

Additional Child Fees

There will be a 10% discount for each additional child. Adjustments will be made prior to the first day of afterschool.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Through the generosity of our members, staff, board and community donors, the Brad Akins YMCA is able to offer scholarships to families who are not able to afford the regular weekly fees for our after-school program. If you need financial assistance, please fill out the Scholarhip Application from the link below, and turn in at least two weeks prior to your child(ren) starting in our prorgram.
