About Us: Group Fitness at the Walton County YMCA

Meet the Instructors:
Nickie Puls
For over 10 years, I’ve been passionate about helping others reach their fitness goals through fun, diverse, and high-energy group fitness classes. Growing up in a musical household—where my parents played instruments and performed in a band—music and movement have always been a central part of my life.
Zumba was my first love in the world of dance fitness, and it sparked my journey as an instructor. Today, I proudly teach multiple Zumba platforms, inspiring others to find joy, rhythm, and confidence through movement.
Kristen Henshaw
Since 2011, I’ve had the privilege of instructing a wide variety of fitness classes and encouraging others in their journey toward strength, health, and well-being. My own transformation began in 2005 after having children, when I lost a significant amount of weight and committed myself to living a healthier lifestyle. That journey inspired my passion for helping others achieve their own goals.
I’ve been happily married to my husband David for 29 years and am the proud mom of two amazing young men, Daniel and Andrew. I believe fitness should be empowering, supportive, and fun—and I bring that energy into every class I lead.
